Frequently asked questions...
01
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, which correspond to different parts of the body. It is a complementary therapy that promotes relaxation, improves circulation, and supports the body's natural healing process.
02
Are the any reasons I can't have reflexology?
Reflexology is generally safe for most people, but there are some exceptions. It’s best to consult with your healthcare provider before beginning reflexology if you are pregnant, have a serious medical condition, or are undergoing treatment for a chronic illness. Reflexologists should avoid certain areas of the body during pregnancy and other conditions to ensure the treatment is safe and effective.

04
What to expect during a session
You only need to remove your shoes and socks, and will be supported into a comfortable position, either seated or laying on your back on the treatment couch. The treatment starts with hot towels over your feet and a natural bees wax based product is used as a massage medium. The treatment follows a routine over both feet which will be deeply relaxing, restorative and calming. Many people fall asleep! The treatment ends with another hot towel over the feet and brief feedback about the session.
05
Will it tickle?
The treatment is applied with a firm, confident touch, which is not intended to tickle. Most people find the sensation soothing, even those with the most ticklish feet!
06
What if my feet smell or I have an infection?
No problem, the treatment starts with cleansing your feet with hot towels and enables full assessment of the foot anatomy. For infections such as verruca's a small plaster will be placed over the lesion. Fungal infections may require gloves to be worn. Please ensure you complete the intake form with as much detail as possible.
